ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP is the world’s first 540 Hz gaming monitor

The PG248QP has an E-TN panel that has been overclocked to 540Hz. The ROG Swift Pro is designed for gamers who do not require high resolution but value the speed of the panel and its low latency.

The ROG Swift Pro incorporates an NVIDIA G-Sync Reflex Analyzer and an ESS DAC converter to provide surround sound with near-zero audio latency. Because this monitor only has a 19201080 resolution, it only has HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors.

In contrast to competitors such as the Alienware AW254H, which uses an IPS panel to achieve a 480/500Hz(OC) refresh rate, ASUS uses a TN panel. It covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, but no further information is available.

The monitor was displayed alongside the PG27AQDM, an OLED monitor with a 27-inch 1440p panel. This monitor was first revealed last month. The most important feature is the 240Hz refresh rate. ASUS confirms that this monitor has an improved thermal design with a custom heatsink and panel voltage optimizations.
