NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti: $799 USD, Faster Than RTX 3090 Ti With DLSS3 & RTX Support

Press Releases Reports

NVIDIA Unveils GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Graphics Card: Aiming For $799 US For The RX 7900 XT With RTX & DLSS3 Goodness!

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card is exactly what everyone expected it to be: a rebadged version of the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB graphics card, which the green team decided not to launch due to its vastly different performance but similar naming scheme. RTX 4070 Ti has finally been unveiled, nearly two months after it was supposed to be released. Most of you will find its specifications to be nearly identical to the card it was originally intended to be, so let’s start there.

New NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU brings the power and efficiency of the NVIDIA Ada architecture down to $799

Thanks to NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture innovations and NVIDIA DLSS 3, the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU is up to 3X faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and consumes nearly half the power. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is ideal for PC gamers looking to maximise the high refresh rate 1440p monitors that are widely available at low prices, as well as video editors looking to reduce rendering times with dual AV1 encoders.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is a significant upgrade over the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or GeForce RTX 2080. When combined with DLSS 3 technology, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti outperforms the legendary GeForce GTX 1080 Ti by a factor of 12.

Custom cards from NVIDIA AIC partners will be available beginning January 5, 2023, with prices beginning at $799. Please keep in mind that there is no Founders Edition version.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB ‘Official’ Specifications

The full-fat NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will use the “Ada Lovelace” AD104-400 GPU configuration with 7,680 cores or 60 SMs enabled. The GPU will have 48 MB of L2 cache and a 192-bit bus interface, so we can expect up to 12 GB of GDDR6X capacity. The memory is said to run at 21 Gbps, with a memory bandwidth of 504 GB/s. The card is said to have a boost clock of 2610 MHz, but the peak frequency will be higher.

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB “Official” TBP – 285W
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB “Official” TBP – 290W

The TBP now has a power rating of 285W, which is a 35W decrease from the RTX 3080 10 GB model and a 5W decrease from the RTX 3070 Ti. The new graphics card is expected to outperform the RTX 3080, but given the specs reduction over the 4080 16 GB, there will be a significant gap between the two models of around 30-40%.

When comparing the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card to older RTX 30 GPUs, NVIDIA emphasises the use of RTX and DLSS3, as well as the new RT-overdrive mode. As a result, it is worthwhile to wait for the final reviews, which will provide a more apples-to-apples performance comparison.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti ‘AD104’ GPU Block Diagram:

The price of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, which is currently the lowest of all next-generation graphics cards released by NVIDIA and AMD, is one of the most important aspects of the product. The RTX 4070 Ti costs $799 USD, which is $100 USD less than the RX 7900 XT, $200 USD less than the 7900 XTX, $400 USD less than the RTX 4080, and half the price of the RTX 4090 ($1599 USD). Whether the card is worth the price remains to be seen, but based on the performance figures provided by the green team, we believe the RTX 4070 Ti could end up being a worthy competitor to the RX 7900 XT, as well as offering some of the highest efficiency figures seen on the rest of the Ada Lovelace GPUs.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will be available in retail stores on January 5th, and unlike the other two RTX 40 series cards, it will not have a Founders Edition variant, but will instead be available in custom variants. The following are the various custom models for the RTX 4070 Ti that will be available on launch day.
